Hey guys. So normally I fish the regular style frog with a soft body and twin hooks on the back and it has worked good. Just curious if anyone has tried the hybrid frogs in this FFTROU video? They have weedless treble hooks which I have not tried yet. But it's interesting that it can be a multi purpose lure. Is it worth the switch? Thanks.

I suggest you look up the moss boss, It's great for heavy weed and works better than those plastic frog bait's IMO.

Thanks for the tip. I looked up the moss boss and it does look alright. I don't think I've seen one around before but if i do i might just have to grab it.

If it has worked before, why even switch unless you just want to try some new stuff...I bet you any topwater you throw in that spot will trigger a bite...nothing to do with exactly what type of lure.

I'm not a big fan of treble hooks,
They do work great for the "Hookset Happy Snaggers".

But you can catch just as many or likely more by waiting for the fish to
close its mouth before you set the hook !

Less flying double & triple treble hook lures
Snaggers think they look really cool but tend to annoy everybody around them to the point people
will no longer fish with them !

Trebles have a purpose but I like to replace trebles with double hooks.

Here's a nice double hook Weedless "Frog Popper"

Look up snakehead lure, frog, eBay ,

Another 1 oz Topwater snakehead lure
