A couple weeks ago a few of my buddies and I went on a camping trip to Six Mile Lake PP. only fished on the Saturday for a couple of hours but the numbers were decent and caught myself a new PB smallie! The goal of the trip was for my buddy to catch his first ever pike, good news is he ended up with another one after his first was very small lol. Once I figure out how to post pictures I will have them up! The first pike of the day was caught at 8 am just casting off the dock while we were blowing up my inflatable. That was the only fish of the morning so we went out again at about 6 pm in the inflatable with a trolling motor and as soon as we pulled away and started to troll, got a little 23 incher pike caught on a number 4 Mepps aglia in bright orange. Trolled and casted around a couple of islands where there was a rocky hump in between where we caught another low 20s pike caught on a fire tiger husky jerk. As we were heading back in after only an hour or so (had to have dinner) we were trolling over the same rocky hump and I had a huge hit, thought it was a bigger pike until it jumped out of the water, netted the smallie after about 2-3 minutes of fighting it, weighed in at 4 lbs and was 21 inches! Again caught on a Mepps aglia in orange. All fish accept for the first pike were caught trolling around islands over rocks near a weed line in about 8 FOW. Pictures to come shortly
