First day at north bay.
Temp- high of 23 low of 17- part cloudy with a nice breeze
Arrived at north bay around 3 and headed for trout lake around 4-5. Fished on the public dock and was skunked. A local asked if we caught anything and we told him our story. He suggested that we head down to the water front of lake nipissing to do some fishing there.
He was right. Alot of locals were fishing there. We arrived at the dock at 7, and the sun was setting slowly. There were huge waves though. I never saw such huge waves before since I've travel so little.Â
We set up where we thought was a good spot and started fishing. At first I was using crankbaits to see if I can lure any lurkers out. After maybe 30mins of fishing a group of guys to my right caught a nice walleye. It was easily 24" and they had 3 already tied to they're spot. ( from the looks of it they where using spoons I believe. Chromed ones with no colour.)
Then I thought to myself "game on!" I switched my lure a couple times since there wasn't much sun left, I switched to a brighter crank bait that would reflect in the water to catch the attention of the fish.....but nothing...Â
My friends were already getting tired from all the casting but I could have fish there an hour or 2 more. So we started packing all the stuff and began to leave. We left at 930ish
So disappointed that night but there will be more fishing tomorrow!! For sure.
