Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to do a little market research on everyone's Favorite color Troutbead.

Going to do a little running total of everyone's top three picks. Stick mainly to the color not so much Regular / Blood dot / Mottled. If you do not feel comfortable letting the world know your top three, It would be great if you PM me your picks and I will add them to the tally.

My personal top three are:

#1 - Glow Roe
#2 - Natural
#3 - Egg Yolk

Thanks For Your Time
Mike @ Fishheads

Ok so far or running total:

#1 - Glow roe @ 8 votes
#2 - Natural @ 6 votes
#3 - Egg yolk @ 4
#4 - Cotton & Chartreuse @ 2 votes
#5 - Caramel & Orange @ 1 vote

Keep the votes coming

Only going to post the top 5 picks. I have a running total on paper.

1. Egg Yolk
2. Glow Roe
3. Cotton Candy or any sort of pale/whiteish/pink color

Blood Dot/Mottled!

looks like a lot of the same colours are coming up!!
1 is a tie between glow roe and egg yolk lol.
3 is also a tie for me caramel roe has been good to me, and the other i dont know the name. like glo roe but a darker pink, translucent like GR

10 mm E Y has been paying the bills lately. had fish taking the bead while fishing bead/bag combo on the weekend????

I've only ever used 8 mm natural. Looking to purchase light pink and chartreuse soon because I have seen them perform well.

Thanks guys keeping a running total in the original post. Keep the votes coming

I've only used orange mottled blood dot, but it looks like u need to get some glow roe.

Anybody run multiple beads or bead in combination with anything else? (Roe bag, worm, pink worm, fly, jig)

Edit:
I just noticed that leakywaders does... :)

What's glow roe?? Do they glow in the dark, sorry for hijacking this thread a bit , I see them but never know what it is

Here's glow roe

Glowbeads glow in the dark.

The glow roe looks so easy to make out of dollarama material.
1. orange beads in the craft section
2. glitter flakes craft section
3. syrofoam block or block of wood any scrap from home
4. toothpicks personal hygien
5 red permanent marker stationary
6. epoxy in hardware
7. artist paint brush
8. aluminum foil

I have not tried it but seems simple enough. Here is how I'd do it:

1. take board and drill holes big enough to hold tooth pick at 2" intervals. The toothpick will be used as a bead holder, epoxy the toothpick to the board. Put the beads onto the toothpick. use red marker to draw a dot.
2. layout a paper sheet size of aluminum foil to catch the excess glitter flakes
3. mix up some epoxy and apply with brush to the beads and don't get any on the toothpick
4. grab the wood at the base and hold the beads over the aluminum foil
5. sprinkle the glitter onto the beads
6. allow 10 min for epoxy to fully cure

BINGO done. I have not tried it but this is how I would do it.

On the trout beads site they label it as "glow roe"

Weird name cause mine sure don't glow. I asked Troutbeads and apparently some were just mottled and some glow so they just put dots on them and added to the regular BloodDots. The next batch that actually glow will be added to the GlowBeadz section to avoid confusion. I guess that beats checking them all one by one.
