Ok here is my personal experience with trying out both light source, UV & Camera Flash.

I have a typical Camera Flash for SLR camera & I also have a 6" or so UV Floresent tube light.

When it comes to glowing both work very very well. Before using either one, it depends on which type of glow paint/powder was used on your lure.
For example, I love the design/shape of Cleo because it cast so much better than other heavier spoons I have but quality of glow is the lowest I have used when comparing to other glow in dark lures. So, as for glow in dark Cleo, you can use flash light, uv light, camera flash or any other light and it will glow to its maximum and you can clearly see the glow fade away within seconds. Resulting in recharging after few casts.
I don't think I have caught any fish right after a full charge but mostly when it is very dim. But here I am talking about light source, not what catch fish.

Now, I have few of those 'Super Glow!', Glow for Hours! lures, heck I even have one of those Fortune Spoons which certain color claim to glow up to 8 hours with Full Charge!* (Full Charge is using a charging a lure with UV rich light source for like 30 minutes or something).
With these lures, your typical flash light is just too weak and it doesn't even charge much. You'll get a very very! dim charge. When I used a UV light, it was amazing! It slowly and suddenly charge them up to very bright glow in matter of seconds. I guess longer charge holds charge longer? I have tried it for like 15 minutes. Brightness seems same but not sure about how long it lasts. Besides I don't think I'll ever use same lure for 8 hours.
Now, I tried charging with my camera flash. One zap or two zap... it's all the same. Glow from the lure is as good as glow from UV light source. AND it seems to stay glowing for as long as when I've used UV light.

One thing about these Super Glow lures is... they are mostly larger size spoons. I haven't seen anything that is size of the cleos. Perhaps it is very to bu some cheap-o spoons in similar shape of cleo and glow paint yourself? If you want to be unique like Snypa :)

Anyways, let me talk about the quality of these so called Super Duper Glow for So many Hours paint of these lures. They really are super bright. Whether that catch fish or not is another discussion. These lures don't glow. It's all lie!* What really happen right after a charge is... these things emit light of it's own ! It puts out so much glowing light that it literally cast a shadow of me. I can use it to light up thing around me & allow me to read things. In the water it look like a UFO. But even this super brightness only last for few minutes and after that.. this is when the lure really does glow in dark, not shoot out light.
It also glow enough that I don't really have to charge it up for well over an hour.

So what do I think of UV & Camera flash? Either works very good. If you have a boat and use these lures for downrigging. Yeah maybe long charge with UV light maybe good but for shore fishermen, either work superbly.
I guess getting yourself one of those UV LED flashlight would be more portable? Camera flash are little bulkier. If do happen to find those UV LED keychains, I am guessing it would be better to buy few than just one.

Now if you got some skills... you can try the following.

I bet Snypa would do this :D If he does, he should make some and re-sell to some of us who are interested.

So yeah. there you go.

By the way, where can you buy one of these super glowing lures other than online store? Simple. visit the Bronte Outdoor store near Bronte. They have that FortuneSpoons and these does cast little better than other longer shaped spoons. I still thing it is bit too large... I need to get me these powders and make some myself.

Or just put some decals.

Like your manufacturer logo ? car name ? on the rims ? (i got no rims)

Just Imagine!

That light will make you glow more than someone that just came outta a nuclear reactor :D The light is soo powerful, that it gives off a little bit of radiation, you have to becareful that you don't point it in someones face :D in a perfect world, if i only sold glow baits lol, i would just paint the whole thing with glow paint lol, imagine a whole car that glowed lmao, i think a volkswagen beetle would be nice, litterally a "glow-bug".
