hey all,

I'm new to the forum, just stumbled across it while googling 'GTA winter steelheading'. I'm a toronto resident, and grew up fishing grenadier pond, toronto islands and the Humber.
I've just gotten into steelheading and if anyone has any suggestions on sections of river and access points (not specific spots of course, I like a challenge) in Toronto that are accessible by bike or public transit I'd appreciate it. Cheers

Beware of the weekend warriors in the humber alot of hoggers and snaggers.

not just humber pretty much everywhere once the salmon season kicks in. I dont know whats so special about these fish i guess cus none of them bite and 98% of them get snagged.

Yes, very frustrating, I am always the only one float fishing and the rest drop shoting with 2 hooks using 20 braid. Last year i did amazing about 4 am, 3 drifts hit 3 salmon all in the mouth all in a row, took about 1/2 hour to land them then after that nothing? Maybe not so amazing maybe just lucky. I always like to hit the 1st run of the season as they always seem more eager to hit something.
