try using lure under float.it should work out

try looking for float that you can fill with water, or already weighted float.
however, the whole point about fishing with flies is that you see the fish and cast your fly above it without spooking it with splash, by using flyfishing gear you cast the line not the lure.

One thing you can do if your trolling is to put a medium size williams wobbler and then attach your fly to a 2 to 5 foot leader. The williams wobbler acts like a fish attractor.

Well...

It depends.

What size/type flies?

How long is the rod ?

Here is what I have done.

Because I love my Bluegill fishing... I used my 7'6" UL spinning rod + I used 8lb Fireline Crystal + about 2 foot long 4lb P-Line Flourclear leader + dry fly/ant/etc...
Because braid line floats I could actually emulate fly fishing alike and cast a short distance. Would have helped more if the rod was longer since you can't cast out a regular line too far even with back aand forth movement.

As soon as those little ants/flies hit the water... kaPaw! Bluegill smashs it!

If you want little more weight here is what I tried and worked alright. Put one of those very small splitshot weight + floating foam thingy right along with the weight and it'll cast and won't sink the line. ONly problem is.... leader+fly don't layout straight.
