Hey guys,

I just got my volunteer hours passport and was wondering if there any places that have volunteering opportunities and are related to fishing. I was thinking about Credit Valley Conservation... I saw the description and thought it was very helpful to the environment. Something in Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon. So Peel region. If anyone does find a place let me know on this forum.

Thanks

Thanks guys,

Chasin tails, I got a whole list of places to get hours. I just wanted a little bit of fishing incorporated into it so i can keep my balance between my love of fishing and everything else.

Christopher k, thanks for your suggestions, i will look into trout unlimited.

Garbage cleanup.

Many members here could sign off a good chunk of hours for you if you did a cleanup. You can always bring your rod, and do a little fishing in between.

Sucks cause i cant fish until march because of a promise that i made with my dad. I regret it. But my dad never said anything about fishing related jobs

fisher12, whats electro-fishing?
It's a net that you put into the water and zaps fish and temporarily incapacitates them. More used for checking fish health and to see whats in the area if there were any invading species. I think it is illegal to do in public rivers, ponds etc mostly used by the GRCA, HCA and MNR.

Get a hold of the Mnr office in your area I'm sure they have some sort of volunteer program
