What an expensive week, lost my Oakley's and punctured my Bare waders. Anyone have experience with patching breathable waders?

I have breathables from Canadian tire. I punctured them on a tree branch. I used the patch that came with it. I put a patch on inside and outside. I've been on three heavy bush whacking camping trips since and there still good

What did you use? Anyone used good old silicone?

aquaseal is the best for patching waders. kinda like shoo goo buy wayyyyyy better. Can get it at sporting goods stores or sometimes CT. use it to glue the patches u have
Thanks,Googled aquaseal- lots of info now. Off to Le Barons tomorrow I guess

you will love it. keep the tube in the freezer once opened and lasts forever. best stuff for waders hands down-*-*-
Had to go downtown to mountain equipment co-op, Le Baron's had it back ordered. Picked up 2 tubes and for my vest, a little mini tube which is U.V. activated apparently. Worked like a charm, $7 compared to a couple of hundred for new waders is money in my pocket.Thanks. :smile:/>

use aquaseal. put tape over one side of the hole, then aquaseal the non tape side. when its dry, peel off the tape and aquaseal that side

This works, I've done it on my neoprene waders. Instead of using tape on the inside of the hole I used wax paper, I used it on both sides actually to keep it from sticking to anything. Once it dried I just removed the wax paper.
