my friend and i are planing to go fishing for walleye this weekend and are wondering where the best spots from shore are within an hour and a half of whitby. we dont have a boat so it has to be from shore. any help is greatly appreciated!

I have been told Port Perry has some good fishing. Have not tried it myself. You can rent a boat there as well. Here are 2 sites that I hope will help. If you go let me know please. I do not have a boat yet and I am stuck on shore to.

Sorry, I cant tell you any of my REALLY good spots, but i can tell you that the best bait or scent that i have found is if you get a green jig, and put a little garlic scented swirl tail grub and a worm on it, you can catch some pretty nice walleye.

If you hit up scugog, i'd suggest renting a boat and using a bucktail jig along the weedlines. I've seen guys pull several walleye out by the hour, and had one buddy land over 50 in 3 trips out. The musky will hit them too.

You can get a boat at main marina for 14$ an hour, or like 75$ for the full day
