I am looking to catch my first walleye..or two or three. Can anyone suggest a productive water that is not too far from Toronto, say under 90 minutes, and fishable from the shore. I hear that Bay of Quinte is very good but that is a bit far and they say that you really need a boat there which I do not have. Thanks.

Hi. The three culverts at the bottom of Lake Scugog can provide good night fishing from shore this time of year for walleye.

Thanks. Don't know that area very well. Is it at the south end of Scugog off hwy 2? No sense day fishing?

The water that flows from them attracts the walleye near by mostly during the night because the sunlight doesn't bother them so much. Hey, now I feel like going too lol

Thanks Meppsman for the clarification. Understood and appreciated.

Anyone else have walleye shore suggestions?

Me too let's go....lol. :D If they don't bite there then we can meet up with Beef in Ceasarea....lol Thanks for the locations guys.

Nah, no need to thanks me. The credit goes to someone that owns a fishing show. They told me about that spot and the Government Pier.

I've always wondered why there isn't a walleye/bass/pike section to this forum. I fish the grand river for walleye so I can't help you. Here is a nice "eater" from this summer.
