Who do you think has the most accurate forecasts? Weather Network has been dismal at times and CP24 as worse beyond 24 hours.

I just stumbled on this one and it has alot of cool details. I was looking up Simcoe and it tells you how much ice and lots of other useful data. Alot of you probably use your Iphone app, but I don't have one. So check it out, let me know which one you find better. Or you have one you'd like to share.

Thanks for all who respond.

Thanks for posting that website! It's really cool.

I use the window mainly for telling the weather!

Because I fish spots within a half hour TTC ride from where I live, I pretty much just have to look outside, or go outside to see what the weather is like.

Cheers.

Ha you are your own weather man.....lol. But what if you wanted to go 2 or more days from now, who would you listen/watch to plan your trip? You don't want rain to ruin your day.

Glad you like the site....... :D

Hmmm, I would probably check the weather network site. But now I would check the site you posted. Cheers

I usually use meteorologic Canada, the weather network and accu weather and compare what they say. To me the government website is the best one.

Vaery Good Site Grubman! Thanks for Posting it.

I find the Weather Network not to bad for up here in Aurora/ Newmarket. Short Term ONLY!

They also have a "Conversion Page" for pretty well everything.

I have it as a "Desktop Shortcut" and use that more then their Weather Page

Very Easy to use.

If you'd like to give it a try I just grabbed the Link for it.

With any Luck  This should do it. http://www.theweathe...om/conversions/

It's quicker and easier to use than the one built into the "Explorer Calculator" on my Computer.

Good Luck at Cooks Bay Buddy!!

Rick

PS: I collect any and every Map I can get my hands on.

A BUNCH in here on Cooks Bay. (20/30 Minutes away).

I'll attach a couple in case You Or Other Members might care to use them.

Yeah the WN in TO is only good for 2-3 days. CP24 for 1-2 days. That's the problem, if you want to make longer term plans neither are reliable anywhere.

Those are awesome maps and charts, I love the second and third. Thanks dude. The gov seems to have a monopoly on hydro charts and won't let anyone else have them without paying. I'm gonna save these for when I get my boat or rent one.

Thanks again, buddy. :D

without a doubt, I find wunderground to be the most accurate for me. They have a weather station like 3km's from my house, so the weather is usually bang on, and detailed

You guys are lucky that your fishing holes are so close and your spur of the moment decision to go fishing is based on instantanous weather conditions.

What if you had to plan a trip a week from now and drive 2 hours away, that's when you have to find a reliable weather source?

OK so I did a search and this guy on Omninerd.com evaluated online weather forecasters. Good nerd with too much time on his hands I guess....... :D Here is a link, and the conclusion to his findings, it's very interesting:

The trends I observed included:

•In seeking high temperature forecasts, it looked best to use IntelliCast or The Weather Channel in the long term, but there wasn’t a clear leader in the short to mid term. BBC seemed unreliable in all cases, as well as MSN in the long term. The Weather Network, CNN and Unisys all had blemishes (3, 4 and 0 days in advance, respectively), but were generally in with the pack.
•In seeking low temperature forecasts, IntelliCast and The Weather Channel were again the choice in the long term, joined by Unisys in the short term. BBC was still a dud in anything but the very short term, and MSN performed horribly in nearly all cases, as well as Accuweather in the long term.
•Accuweather was the clear leader in anything greater than 10 days in advance, being the only site providing a weather forecast.

So there you have it. Cheers.
