Nice Bass!

So ... the avatar pic has obviously someone who's been working out, and the arm holding the fish seems smaller?

Stop working out or what?

or is that Bass that Huge ...

Should I be the first to mention that all of those very nice looking largies and smallies are being held by the gills...

I hate to be a nitpick, but please never ever hold a fish you plan to release by the gills. With bass, I think the best thing to do is hold the mouth and use the other hand to support the fish around the anal fin area.

Thanks for the knowledge guys, im 29 years old and this year and last year have been the years where i have been fishing more frequent, before that i use to fish maybe once a year. I have showed many fisherman pictures of fish that i have caught and not once has anyone corrected me. Thanks for letting me know so i know not to do it anymore. The reason i did hold those fish that way is just from seen other people do it. I now know and will correct that.. Thanks again..

Nice results for being so new to fishing. Good to hear, its also easier to pick up bass by their lower lip.

But don't hold pike by the lips LOL then you might need stiches :). Unless you have a lip grip, you can google how to properly hold pike.

Thanks, i usually use really long needle nose pliers for the pike and hold em with a glove. same thing with all the walleye i have been catching.

Here is a picture of a nice Walleye that my gf caught last week when we were up at Bellwood in Fergus, it may not look big in the picture but it was pretty heavy and gave a good fight. the pic may be a bit blurry but it was because it was starting to get a bit dark outside.

Nice fish! Looks like you have some nice spots to head out to. Keep up the good fishing and keep those pics coming.
