First off, thanks to the guys who have posted all the water level maps and .gifs of the runs and genuinely all the knowledge I have been following.

I woke up this morning knowing we were expecting approx 10mm in the EAST TRIBS. Well weathernetwork told me that had dropped to about 5mm. I hate when that happens. anyways, analyzed for an hour if I should get out, mid day, and see what was running. BOY am I GLAD I chose to go. I only ended up having an hour and a half on the river before I had to leave. I landed 4, 3 males and one female, which all revived beautifully back in the water. When ever I wasn't fighting them, I was hooking up and snapping off other ones. Lost at least 10+. I witnessed realistically something around 100 run in that 1.5 hours. about one a minute give or take. Maybe even more. Who knows. Anyways I read a bunch here tonight with guys saying they had no luck? Heck, if I could be back out there tomorrow I would be in a heart beat! We havent seen rain for two weeks, my instincts were right. AS soon as we were to get pretty much any rain a bunch would start running.

I posted my last one I got, I think it was the biggest of the four ;)

ps. I shopped that to take out location. Do I have to do that according to the forum rules, or do guys on here just do that so "their spot" isnt exposed. I was definitely not in any sort of secret spot lol. And I would have no problem posting it as long as that is forum ok ? Someone let me know for next time please.

Thanks for the report, nice catch. That almost looks like a box of Rocky Madsen's Fish Crisp in your pocket...........J/K......lol. :D

great reward for your effort. It's better to be out there and get nothing than stay home when the salmons show up.

Awesome!

Glad to see someone hook into that many in such a short time. It give me hope...

Seriously though congrats man.

Congrats man! Nice to see people smiling in their pics
-I wouldn't post up locations... or you will likely be shoulder to shoulder with the local meat hunters..

GJ man

As Float and Ninja have said--best to keep specifics close to your chest--benefits us all...

Just a reminder below are our preferences...GOOD HUNTING!!!

Steelhead and Salmon forum rules
  • Specific Spots: Disclosing the presence of fish in a specific pool, upstream from the mouth of any river or tributary is not permitted in the publicly viewable general discussion forum. For example, you can say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on Wilmot Creek", but we do not encourage members to say "The fish are stacked up in the pool at the CNR bridge". The latter statement should be relegated to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 reports sections, away from public view.

Nothing in the rules about blurring backgrounds, its up to the poster to decide if they want to or not.

IMO there is no point in posting a picture of a salmon unless it has a background. All salmon pretty much look the same so what is the point in looking at a picture of a cookie cutter salmon without the natural beauty of the river and trees in the background?

Just my opinion, great report either way. BTW I think I still know which river you were fishing lol.

I think you just want to know where he is fishing....

Haha jokes. I keep forgetting there are thousands of people who troll the site as public viewers. I will make sure to keep spots "to myself" when posting publicly.

Now everyone go crush spiders and lets make it rain!!!!!!!!

I would also like to say... Anyone who can recognize a clay bank, a certain rock or tree, certain grasses etc, that they have probably seen that spot before and have put the work in to find It or are experienced enough to know where it is. Lol.
