thats a good price! if i could read a flasher after prefishing i would jump on it for sure

They're very easy to read. I've been using a Humminbird the past few years for ice fishing and wouldn't go back to a fish finder now.

i dunno about that my friend has an fl-8 im sure the depth switch and gain is pretty similar. you have to approximate depth as it gives you a line to follow on the flasher with a guage marked on the outside in 10ft -20ft intervals also i think its easier to tell bottom composition with a graph. I use 535x it has a whiteline feature that makes identifing gamefish in packs of baitfish alot easier as well as a 20 degree signal cone compared to 12 on vexilar. next unit im getting is either 767 GPS or a Lowrance chartplotter.

Is that the one Bill Dance does commercials for? Seeing the clarity on the Lowrance is craziness.
