Am I missing something.?
How does the reel attach?
looks pretty .
where's it made?

WTF.
Just watched video.
Line ties to tip of rod.
Where you plan on fishing?
Neighbour's aquarium. Lol

@caddis that's awesome

Tenkara style fly fishing is very cool. Can't get huge fish or massive distances but small creeks it would be good.

Thanks Paul, going to use it for brookies, with the line at 12.5 feet ( I ordered 3 lines 10 feet 12.5 feet 15 feet ) and rod length of 12 feet, plus add in tippet length which can vary from 3 feet up to 6 feet you can cover some good distances surprisingly. The rod I ordered is good for fish up to 18 inches.

Got a chance to try one last year and was very impressed with how effective and easy to cast and use . You can really pin point you fly and the presentation is great.

Hey tossing, was waiting for that response......thank you! :) The rod is made in the USA, would have like to got a Japanese rod but the are pricey.

Ha ha .
What ever rocks your boat.
To each their own.
First I've ever heard of it.
And the last I hope.
I'll stick to conventional methods.
Offer still stands on the willow branch.

Old school.
If it's not ripping off line I don't get the high.
Aquarium fishing not for me.
I have on occasion tickled their bellies and caught with my bare hands.
Just pulling your chain.
will stick with steel and salmon and any other species not in a tank.

And I'd love to see it Pump.
Tenkara . (From the heavens )
Specifically for small fish.
Up to 18".
Not saying there's not small carp. Lol

Cool. Have never hooked a Chinny that has never needed to take line myself.
Definitely not a method for fish that peel line.
But I'm certainly not claiming to know everything.
Caught a 25lb early spring chinook flat lining with my ultra light and 6 lb test one spring. Lucked out and landed it. Wore a groove in my tip eye. Can't believe it never snapped to this day.

Tenkara carp and salmon? No problem! How about 100lb tuna?

Not quite tenkara...but jack pole is about as close to it as you get.

A friend once said "A salmon fights like a dead tuna." after he landed a 20+lb chinook spoon chucking from the pier. :p

Ha ha. Point taken.
Thank you muskie.
But I'll stick with a reel myself.
Gives me a free hand to smoke.
