Hey guys, just trying to identify this fly that has been working very well the past couple of weeks! I'm not even sure how it ended up in my dry fly box but one day i tied it on and it has been producing lots of fish. Been using it because its definitely a may fly pattern that looks similar to a dark Hendrickson and a BWO? Let me know so I can get more of these bad boys lol!

Thanks Fellas

Most likely a Hendrickson if you're been hitting fish with it lately, especially if it is size #14 or #12.

The dubbing and hackle of the Hendrickson usually get darker when wet (looks like you fly is wet in the picture). By wet, I don't necessarily mean waterlogged...floatant like Gink can give the material a darker colour as well.

When it is dry the dubbing could be quite light in colour. That's typical...and the wet colour closely imitates the real mayfly.
