Hey guys. Anyone use what's app? It's like a chat room based thing on mobile phones. Would be nice to use for OFF. Can always chat and see what's going on.

Crazy how What's App is 5x as valuable as Blackberry.

Bet the RIM execs really, really regret that they didn't make BBM cross-platform much earlier. A huge mistake that spawned an industry worth tens of billions if not hundreds of billions of dollars. D'oh.

If you're not part of the convo, your phone buzzing will be annoying.

I do a group chat with my fishing buddies during salmon/steelhead season.
It's a good way to keep us posted on our plans for the next day.

So this is a bad idea? You can turn the notifications for the group off as well so you can check it whenever you want to.. Just would like to have something out side of OFF to talk to members on.

Whatsapp was great before facebook bought them....now they're charging for their service (if you havent got the popup yet you'll get it soon!). My buddies and I used to use it all the time..
