I have two young grandkids that I want to take fishing, you know, bobbers and worms kind of deal..We live near oshawa and I cannot think of anywhere close by that they could stand on a dock or shore to fish like this. Anyone have any suggestions ?
thanks.

I'm not from Oshawa, so couldnt speak to local spots. There maybe some places posted in the maps section of the board. If you have access to a car you can go to Port Perry on Scugog; I know there is a dock there but can't remember the locale nor name. Try the search feature on the board.

Great way to spend some time with your grandchildren; some of my best memories is with my gramps fishing thwe worm and bobber way back when. It'll be an experience they never forget. I wish you luck!

fishing lynde shore conservation is legal ?
It would be a great place to take the kids , I just figured being a conservation spot , fishing would not be allowed.

well we went to Lynde Shore Conservation, my two eight year old twin grandkids and I..My grandaughter caught a ten inch smallmouth on a worm with a barbless hook and a bobber about five minutes after we started..I let them fish for about one hour, we then had the pop and sandwiches that they helped me make..a great afternoon and they want to go again.
