Hoping to get out there this weekend or next. Can anyone tell me any good spots to go fishing at this time. What types of fishies would I get there! despite the Gas prices, I love long long drives but maybe only locations within 3-4 hr. from toronto?! I normally go to rice lake or fenelon falls, so if you know any other spots, please share. Thank you so much!!

In the south end of Lake simcoe is Cooks Bay, and there you can rent boats from many marinas in the area. The have bass, pike, and walleye.

Lake Scugog is good as well. You can catch Walleye, Bass, Muskie, Crappie and pretty much any other panfish there. It's only about half hour from Toronto and has boat rentals as well.

I agree with Toronto...angler Scugog is a nice and close place to go. not sure though what time the boat rental opens there.
