I gotta agree, Dozer that's one good looking knife you got right there! These are the knives I carry when I go out fishing. I will choose one of these knives depending on what I need it for and what I feel like carrying on that given day. One of the reasons that these are so great for fishing is that they either have a sheath with a built in belt strap or a clip, so they are easy to get to and don't get in the way. From left to right: Buck Vantage Pro, Grohmann Canadian Army Knife(made right here in Canada!), Buck 102 Woodmsan, Buck 673.

gt knife, got it at the uxbridge ct last week, for 60 bucks, 2 hunting knives, 2 fillet knives, 6 steak knives and a cutting board, regular price just for the 2 hunting and fishing knives is 300, got it all for 60, last pack there, lifetime warranty, doesn't rust and always stays sharp, literally, i was cutting a hammer with it the other day, then filleting walleye!!!

nice knives! question is, is it legal for you people be walking around with big knives on public property without any fear of law reinforcements to charge you for carrying of deadly weapon?

Not exactly a knife but I have a great SOG multitool. No rust after use in salt, chop up small branches, and blade still super sharp. Not as good as a proper filet knife for sure, but all other jobs are clean.

(I'd post a pic but I don't see how to do it)

I carry a spyderco delica everywhere. It has gutted many a fish and is a fantastic tool!

yes, i carry a pocket knife with me when im out, its considered a survival tool, i know you're going to say but you aren't in a survival situation, but it can become one very easily, out fishing alone in a secluded area, slip and fall break your leg, you pull out your cell phone to call 911 but you drop it in the water, now what? its cold, you don;t smoke so you have no lighter, you need something to start a fire with, plenty of rock around and dead grass, use your knife and hopefully you can a spark off the rock

or you're confronted by a wild animal like a coyote or if up in the north a wolf, i feel a lot better about the situation with a knife in my hand then a flimsy fishing rod

also, if you don't carry one how do you dispatch of your fish you keep quickly? quick slice across just below the throat does it fast, no thrashing on shore

i have a berkley fillet knife with the sheath, sorry not as cool as this knives you all posted, but its all i have as my "go to " knife, very sharp, but not as cool,, LOL!!!!
