Hey All,

I recently fished the whirlpool for 12 hours on April 7th. After some intense planning due to a multi species target day, we got hammered by snow and more snow.
My Buddie and I had some serious bad luck down there. My first cast, brand new spoon, snagged as soon as it hit the water.
I have fished the pool many times, but that day the water was super high and not operating. A few others caught a steelhead here and there. But not me.
So I switched over to carp. Which normally around this time, you can get really good numbers.
Anyways, skunked on the carp. My Buddie was skunked completely.
I ended up with this little 2 lber but I don't know what it is.

Any ideas?

Yep, that's a Rudd - I've always loved the wording from the regulations:

"If any of these species are caught, they should be destroyed and not released back into any waters."

I hope it was destroyed.

I've always been good at destroying gobies. I didn't realize that was an invasive species. My Buddie sent it back into the water right after the picture. It never left the net. I'll know for next time. Thanks for the heads up.
