White Bass or White Perch runs in GTA???

New here,.... Probably gonna be the first of many post... Just a heads up there lol.

I've seen the vids of huge white bass catches on the Detroit river in Windsor and Erie tributaries.

HAs anyone tried fishing for them in the GTA area? I heard Cherry St mouth of the Don has a good run and possibly Credit. I know it probably won't be till May but good get a head start on researching ,,

HI, i myself have never heard of white bass in the GTA. Im actually hoping that they are here thought, they look real nice. LOL i just went to look them up after i read your post.

Grenadier pond has white bass, but i suppose there isn't really anywhere for them to 'run'

i beleive someone just caught a big "wiper" in lake o, its a cross between a white bass and a striper i think?

Yead, read that in Ontario Out of Doors. He first thought he has caugth a world-record white bass. Near Pickering he caught it

I am planning to to Windsor for white bass and white perch fishing around May 15th. Does anyone know the situation now? Thanks a lot!

Wiper in Lake Ontario eh... Doesn't surprise me, they're found in Erie and Stripers swim up the St Larwence to Spawn do somewhere in between some have to decide to establish in Lake Ontario. I've always wondered why Stripers were never introduced into Lake Ontario in the first place.

I'm going to probably just make the trip to Windsor in Mid May to, Though I still love to try Ontario Place, and Humber mouth for White bass and White Perch, as I know there is a good population of them in Lake Ontario, so they have to run somewhere to spawn in the GTA...

I've never caught either so I'd like to add that to my list of sportfish conquered this Year !!!
