You guys are lucky, our season took a huge hit with all this rain we've been getting. All the rivers are blown out. Just when I started getting good numbers of fish. GGGRRRR!!!!

i don't think the season is done. it all depends on where you're fishing. i usually target steelhead in fall. but enjoy participating in the trout opener. it's all about resident trouts now or brown trouts on river mouths. season is still hot.

The season is not necessarily over but many people stop fishing for steel after the water warms up because of the increased stress on the fish.

I wouldn't tell people to stop fishing for trout just because i did. The season is open and trout is fair game. It's just not as enjoyable as it was during the run and the opener because the action isn't as good. Sex is over and they're out getting a smoke.

i'll agree with remy on that one, those gills are being stretched wide open. Try holding the fish under its head like your display pic, chances of survival arent great for that fish.

So frustrating, so I wanna go out for one last "dance with the trout"
Strictly catch and release, I wanted to see if I would be able to go north to catch up with them.

Would someone be kind enough to --->PM<--- me a location that is north and easy to find. I am looking thru the forks, not a clue of where to set a line in the water, wierd I swear!
