My 3 for sure would be...black #5 mepps in-line spinner. a white big-O and a jig & pig (or tube jig)
Hey Slimy, what is a big- O?

it's made by Cotton Cordell.... 2 inches long, fat, little minnow bait, kinda wiggles it's way back to you...works beautiful for smallies. has to be white though (has red eyes, with two other small black spots on top), runs pretty shallow. 2-4 feet. IMO..it's a must have in every tackle box.
Thanks.

#1 SILVER AND RED MEPPS SPINNER#5
#2 YELLOW AND GREEN JITTER BUG
#3 PLAIN HOOK AND AN ARTIFICIAL WORM

WHY THESE 3 BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER GONE FISHING AND NOT CAUGHT SOMETHING ON ONE OF THESE.
You don't hear many people talking about the jitterbug any more; it's a great lure. Have you had a chance to try the Zara spook which is also a great top surface lure?

I don't think I have one of those. I'll have to get one and give it a try.I only started fishing last year and already I have a ridiculous amount of lures, I'm like a crack addict, but I buy fishing stuff instead of crack

Survival mode:

1st: Sonic spinner small #2 in Orange you can never go wrong with that and you'll cover your river fishing needs.
"My fav most productive lure ever used"

2nd. Inline spinner or spoon silver lots of flash for the sunny days. "Wicked for pike"

3rd. Nice perch patern rapala. Perch == food on most lakes. "covers everything else"

Match the Hatch!

Cant go wrong chucking out the Cordell Big O..any color suited to the waters, and for trolling or casting for pike, muskie I love the Erie Dearie!

What makes this lure so good, is the walk the dog action. When you reel it in, use a twitching action and that makes the lure dart to one side and then the next twich, it moves to the opposite side creating alot of distrubance on the water.

I bought acouple of those on sale this winter also; heard theywork really well, but man are they expensive.

does rapala have n xrap jointed minnow or do they only have a jointed shad?

If I knew nothing about the lake, the only safe assumption would be that there are bass in the lake. All other bets are off. Therefore I would bring:

1) a bag of senkos.
2) a Miniking spinnerbait.
3) a black Heddon Tiny Torpedo.

:?:

:( Tiny Torpedo & baby Torpedo, forgot about those awesome top water action lures!!! I'm off to Le baron yet again.

Haven't caught enough fish to say what is my best lures.

So far I have to say... hook+worm.

well, first off, i;d wanna know where the lake is located. I.E. up north, down south... cause that would greatly narrow down choices on what to take, however, if i had no idea where the lake was, or what was in it... i;d go with some white twistertail jigs 2-3", a 3/8oz double willowleaf spinner with a white/chartruese skirt, and a deep diving X-rap, in a clown color.
