Hearing mixed facts about smallmouth bass in zone 10 ... when does it open i heard they are open all year?

Thats when its opened.. A week earlier then zone 16.. 20 is open the same time. 3rd Saturday in June.

And its open all year in all waters north of Hwy 17 and to the west of...where the east bank of the Serpent River crosses Hwy 17.

If Bass are on their spawning beds, leave them alone. They get very aggressive and attack anything that threatens their young, so are very easy to catch.
A lot will not return to protect their young if caught.
There is a reason Bass doesn't open til late June. Let them be to do their dirt so future generations will be there.

Thats right. They are very easy to catch around this time. Leave them alone.I caught 4 4 lbers weekend gone whilst spin casting for Steels.

Bass are open all year in Zone 10, but there's a slot size restriction in effect.

There's a few other zones where this is in effect as well.
