So did anyone get out today?

I woke up a bit late this morning myself and looked out and decided to chicken out. Seeing how the weather was all day here in Ajax, I am kind of glad I did. It rained, it was windy, there was a downpour, it either hailed or it was freezing ice pellets that came down, still unsure, but generally it sucked.

Was it busy out there? I remember the spot I was at least year on the opener there were about 25-30+ boats in the one spot.

I am going up first thing Monday morning to hunt some Walleye if anyone wants to hook up. Weather looks better, 14 C and sunny!

I must have read the Regs wrong. I was certain that Walleye didn't open up until the 15th. But seeing that the 8th WAS the second Saturday in May, I see the error in my ways. It'd be nice if the fishing regulations booklet had a calendar in it, so you can figure crap out.
I'm not a dumb person, but trying to understand some of the wording in that book makes me feel a little slow.

As you probably read, I'm going to Sturgeon Lake to try my hand at this fish. Should make for an interesting trip.

Hey Diggyj, I was suppose to go to Rice Sunday but went to cooks bay instead, weather was bad snow, cold NW winds. only did 2hrs or so of fishing, no pike to be found. Looking forward to trying good ol Rice this Saturday.

didn't even bother all week with this terrible weather. The dams open next week, and I think I'll be making a trip there sometime after it opens.

I was at scugog, came out with 2 eyes. posted a report just waiting for it to be approved. weather was crazy. and we were there at night.

Yes I will be up there also, less cottage work to do so that means more fishing. Hope the weather is good early indications are a mix of sun on cloud for Saturday and Sunday with temps of 16 and 18 respectively. Lets see how that changes from day to day.

Nice Walleye spranga. I look forward to your report.

I am excited for the first year in many years to go walleye fishing this weekend! Looking to catch myself and 20+" fish, and gladly releasing it!

Last year was very very disappointing in terms of walleye fishing for me. Last year's biggest fish was no bigger than 15"!
