I do!

I have 4 tanks. Right now I have bettas, guppies and tetras... And snails.

37 gallon angelfish tank - also includes clown loaches, jumbo corydora
55 gallon african cichlid tank - mbunas and peacocks o_O

I had a nice 35 gal set with tropicals up till about 6 months ago. Still have the tank and stuff but I had to take it down to make room for a baby crib... I need a bigger house so I can set it up again.. .lol

And...I don't know how legal it was.. but I had 2- 4" walleye in it about 5 years ago, I cought them in a minnow trap at the cottage.. I kept them over winter and put them back in the following summer. They were very cool.

That's crazy!! :|

That sounds like another full time job to me..lol.

It's probably very nice though.. fish tanks are sweet.. I like them with lots of live plants.

And.. not really in a fish tank but...I had a nice female Veiled Chameleon a few years ago.. she was very cool too.

i need more tanks!!!

I will eventually need a 200+ gallon tank for teh arowanas in the future.

I love chameleons. I've been through veileds and a few ambanja panther chameleons too.

Also used to own a pair of ball pythons too, but currently into turtles.

frozenfire why do you keep so many fish.
it was funny when your mom asked you if you could really tell if 1 fish went missing outta your african cichlid male show tank hahahahahahahaha

my tortoise owns your turtles (ever since you sold my reeves).

thats a lot of fish in your house, must be pretty big!

i've always wanted to have an aquarium but no space and no time and no money. all my money is in my baby now! maybe in the future i will get an aquarium. i always see them on craigslist and sometimes its free too.

All of my fish together and equipment can buy a nice car :|
but i wouldn't trade them for anything haha.

I had one for years, and I got tired of keeping it clean all the time so I got rid of it. Just had goldfish in it. I admit they were relaxing to look at.

if you think a small tank of goldfish were relaxing to look at, you should try a huge tank with large graceful fish such as arowana.... it's so peaceful and tranquil. you can stare at it for so longg....... i'm just rambling on now haha..

you own tortoise?

yeap! he's still a young one... small but growing faster each day... and sex is not defined though i call it a 'he'. much easier to raise than turtles. less maintenance required than for a hamster.

i think fish are hard to own... having to make sure all the pH and chemical levels are balanced. finding peace and equilibrium in the tank... the constant tank cleaning... but i guess it's worth it if you're into them enough! i probably wouldn't keep fish for myself... my tanks are my dad's =)

but how big will your tortoise get??? and do you feed it fish? i once caught a turtle with a dead goby. cause i caught a goby on a worm and then *whack* it died. i wasn't actually trying to catch anything with the goby i just left it on the dock and went in for some food. came out and there was a turtle on my line. turtle wasn't harmed btw and was release. goby however disappeared...

he's going to get about 1.5-2 feet long. heavy little thing he's gonna become!

tortoises for the most part are herbivores for the most part, just taking in small amounts of protein. There are no native species in Canada. Most are found in dry tropical regions in Africa, Asia, and South America.
the turtles you see here in canada are aquatic and hibernate in the winter.
the most common species encountered here would be the midland painted turtle and the common snapping turtle.

This probably why microsoft has the fish tank as a screen saver!

he studied zoology in university... but even if he didn't i think he'd still know all of that o_O

in the future when i can no longer house my tortoise (and hopefully he lives this long), i plan to donate him to a zoo or some non-profit organization that educates people on reptiles...
