Inspired by Kits small creek brookies I decided to get out to one of my favourite secret small creeks and find some browns after work. Now these fish are one of my favourites to catch. Especially on my 4' 6" trout rod, I could literally spend all day out there. Being out there in the bush, seeing deer tracks, birds chirping everywhere, the sound of just the water running through the broken down trees.....I don't think it gets much better.

I took a few photos of the spot, and managed to get about 4 nice size browns. Finally we had some nice weather to get out and enjoy arguably my favourite kind of fishing. Something about not being able to stand straight up in the bush because its so compact, and slowly creeping up on that perfect hole you know those spooky little fish are sitting just waiting for something to pass by. They might not be the biggest, but little guys just do it for me! Anyways, hope you enjoy the photos!

Cheers,

Grayer

Nice man! This the one creek we both know? If it is don't recognize it at all lol.

The picture with the downed trees across the river look familiar.

We gotta get out to mine.

Its honestly funny how some creeks are over looked by most anglers but can hold amazing things like this. These creeks you should never take fish from just C&R and clean up the trash in or around it.

Nice pics grayer! I'm never been a huge trout angler I've always been more of a pike and bass type of guy but man those small brook trout are sure a lot of fun to catch. Its definently worth the hunt to get them.

Where is that other spot the 4th picture. Is that right by the bridge on the road? Did you try the falls? Anything there? And hows the current since we opened some spots of the creek up?

Went out today, same spot....as soon as I get down there it started to pour. I kept telling myself, alright last cast, last cast.....ok now last cast. Ended up grabbing this tiny guy on my "last cast". They can even be this small and I love catching them!!
