Afternoon all,

I own a 10 foot Pelican Plastic Bass Raider boat like this one:

http://www.pelicansport.com/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/produits/boat_bassraider10e.jpg?itok=nrVH-Dkw

Mostly for farting around campsites. Its easy to throw in the back of my truck without a trailer and launch from our campsite as opposed to a boat launch.

I have never used a fish finder before but I feel like its time that I get one. I have a transom mount trolling motor on the boat. Because its made of plastic I don't like the idea of screwing any mounts into it. How easy is it for me to attach the depth finder transducer to the trolling motor?

Is this common practice?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

A simple stick and clamp works fine

or you can go the fancy way and get one from bass pro

Im thinking about this for my SUP. Everything is in one piece so no battery to worry about.

looks neat. How is it powered if no battery?

Its all built in. 8AA batteries which doesnt seem like it would last long but reviews say that it lasts days without charging.

Thanks. AA batteries are great, get a bunch of chargeable ones and you are good to go.
