YouTube Dislikes

Hi everyone, I was on YouTube this morning watching video of people catching Salmon in some local creeks and tribs. Something really caught my eye, there was so many more dislikes then likes. All the videos simply we're was someone having fun reeling in a king salmon. In the comments everyone was mad about not seeing the release of the fish or a very poor release. When you watch a video of Salmon fishing how many of you dislike the video if you do not see it swim away fine? Is it wrong to keep a Salmon to eat in our local creeks? If everyone released the Salmon do you think that Ontario could keep a stable population of Salmon without having to release some every year? Also who here agrees with me that keeping a Salmon to rip just to rip out its eggs with it alive and then refusing to eat the Salmon, leaving it on the ground, is animal cruelty? I couldnt help but be surprised over the amount of haters for these videos. Say your personal opinion below.

There will always be trolls and haters. People will hate for different reasons. Some feel that many shouldn't be fishing for salmon in shallow water. You can see them.... you throw a bobber in front..... eventually they get snagged. Some people have a bad day. Some are just flat out jealous that you catch fish and they can't. Some simply don't like the fact you are video taping "THEIR" favorite spot or feel they own the area.

I got tons of vids up on youtube. For every 10 to 20 likes you will get a dislike. Some vids get tons of likes then just because there are no dislikes, some little keyboard warrior will dislike just because...

The good thing now is that you can delete negative comments from your videos where you couldn't before. Helps keep the bad joojoo from your page.

I think killing them just got eggs is a bad practice. I also don't know why people leave guts carcasses on shore I dump them in the water and between the fish and the turtles they make short work of it

When the salmon are in the rivers....they're dying....why would you want to keep them....fertilizer? ? Must be gross to consume

I wouldn't care about likes / dislikes on my video...I got videos with hundreds of views 0 likes / 1 dislike...It's a video...people can drum up their own conclusion about it.

If someone is going to harvest salmon roe, they should take the fish home, and not waste the resource.

Nobody has any interest in watching a video of Salmon being flossed/snagged in tiny little creeks for the most part. If you are going to make a video of the Salmon run your best bet is to fish for them with lures to get aggression strikes, catch the strikes on video if you can and that will get you some positive feedback.

I don't know about that, PUMP KNOWS from this forum has some pretty awesome videos of salmon hitting hardware.

Yup...It's more interesting to get salmon to strike hardware...or chase a fly.
