Match the hatch = maggots
If roe gets banned I'm starting an artificial roe business.
no... I don't think so. Loogan actions are not on the 'rise' they are probably lower than in the past historically because of new laws and regulations in place. Also, it is a debatable topic of whether or not salmon even reproduce effectively in our tribs anyways.FISHIN'king said:Ya I agree, it's sickening to see salmon on the sides with obvious slits in the belly, at the rate of salmon getting gutted the populations will go down.. ban the roe lol

Klik said:I am not one of them, because i milk the females and let them loose to die of natural causes. But i don't see anything wrong with that. anything over 30 inches is not fit for consumption anyways, salmon die either way and their carcass will be on the banks regardless, just not at once, plus the dead salmon will feed 1000s of other organisms and animals and even puts back minerals into the water. only downfall is smell. also i think when you see is 10, people are selling the roe. or they are professional guides. other wise, i dont see why you would even need more than one female for entire trout season.
