Zoning question

Hey guys, I need some help deciphering the season regulations in my area (zone 16, Halton area more specifically).

The 2017 Fishing Regulations handbook mentions that a section of Bronte is open throughout the year (image #1, page 80) for trout and salmon. But the same area seems to be listed under the exceptions for the same waterbody (image #2, page 82).

I'm new to fly fishing in general and especially in the area which is why I'm reading through the entire handbook. I was hoping someone could help me figure out whether this waterbody is available, what specific section is available (I've looked on google maps and can't pin point where Highway 2 is - it tells me it's Sideroad #2 but I doubt that, wikipedia mentions it might be lakeshore) and whether it's worth fishing at this time of year for practice (all catch and release, I'm only looking to practice for a fly-in fishing trip in May).

Image 2 is a different section of the river, much farther up stream. Whereas the section in image 1 is essentially at the mouth. If youre planning to fish in may the enire creek is open for trout.

Do you know the specific area that's mentioned in image 1 (where hw 2 is)?

The fly in trip is in may far up north, I'm looking to get some fly fishing practice in the local area right now so I'm ready in may.

I believe Hwy 2 is also known as Lake shore Boulevard.

What will you be targeting up north? The creeks around here are generally small and have many trees so you will almost always be roll casting which is an extremely valuable cast to know when starting out but might not be so useful if you are fishing a lake out of a boat. If this is the case, you will want to learn how to shoot line, double haul, and just straight up huck it into the wind at times. If you're fishing superior steel head rivers however then that's a whole different dragon again. Sorry to hijack the thread, I'm just curious as to what you will be targeting so I can guide you in the right direction on what to practice. Fly fishing has evolved into so much more than it once was and the techniques and gear are constantly evolving with it.

FF is correct. HWY 2 is Lakeshore Rd. Basically you can fish Bronte Marina/Harbour all year.

I could be wrong but I think the section from Hwy 2 up to the Rebecca St. bridge is a year-round sanctuary? Then you have normal regs up to the 407 bridge before you enter seasonal sanctuary up to Progreston.
