    It finally Happened.....

As the title saids, it finally happened, the dream fishing trip that is! Everything went perfect, well until a pike showed up that is, all was good fish were biting and even being landed, lots of herring and a few whitefish and perch in between, lots of fish were missed, I had a few pike rip me...

You could drive on though, there's a road specifically for automobiles.

    Simcoe

Depends on where the fish are that day, some days its a 2-3 km walk, other days all it takes is 500 m but that's where the jumbos are, don't get me wrong, there's jumbos in cooks but nowhere near the amount as the main lake, big jumbos prefer rocky structure and weed wedges, not just weeds like...

    Simcoe

Ice should be good to drive a small pickup out, don't take my word for it though, as for cooks bay being your best bet, depends on what you're after, if you want try simcoe jumbos, I'd hit hit Virginia beach, port bolster or Beaverton if you're up for the walk if I were you, much bigger fish...

    Holes on Frozen Rivers

I usually have 2 setups, one with a slip sinker and a small hook with brown roe and the other with a large egg sinker, a foot up from a small kwikfish and just let the current do the work, I've only ever fished near the mouths of the east tribs though.

    Any Snow on Simcoe?

you're probably better off walking, don't know about know but I'm guessing its the same as 2 days ago, just that all the water froze, likely just ice now.

    Ice Fishing!

Nado:yesterday was slow for simcoe all I got was an 8 lb laker and a whitie, a few small Lakers and herring but other than that, I just lost some, lots of fish coming around but very few wiling to hit. Hopefully it will pick up soon, last weekend was much better, that's for sure.

    Stayin' Local

Hey guys, so originally a Halliburton trip was planned for this weekend but upon finding out that it would only be the two of us and looking at the route, we decided to stay local and head for some whitie and laker action, we knew the ice would be sketchy but we decided to take the risk and...
