Hi Everybody! I can finally fish!

well they bought an abu garcia one from canadian tire (at the same time they got the rods) i think he said it was between $40-$50. i'm in the same boat as you. But im getting the rod/reel combo thats on sale at CT this week, half off from $80. check out my thread about it.

    Outdoors/fishing card costs

I have to get my fishing licence (outdoors card) next week and i know canadian tire offers them, but how much are they? and are they cheaper elsewhere or same price across the province?? thanks, Jeff

Hi Everybody! I can finally fish!

two of my friends picked up ugly stiks, both been fishing for a few years now, and both love them. not a bad deal $50 at crappy tire (so probably less at bass pro) pick up a decent reel and your set

What will scientists come up with next ?? (kinda nf)

thats interesting, dont see why it wouldnt work, lots of animals respond to sound. IIRC dont whales use sound to communicate

Do you eat the fish you catch?

ya i want to try trout just because i was told there was alot in bowmanville, so thats most likely what i'll be catching.... would be kinda cool to be able to bring home a fish and cook it up for dinner

    First year fishing, rod/reel advice

ya my buddy Marc (bvillefish2) bought an uglystik from there and he likes it so far, he got an abu garcia reel for it too. not sure the model of it, maybe he'll chime in

same here, my buddy is looking for a boat but cant find anything worth while for a decent price. even if it needs a bit of work, sounds like a good deal
