I use BBQ ruffle chips... chubs love it!!

whenever I've seen them pitching or flipping on TV, they are fishing flooded timber or really thick weeds or something like that... so the big hook set also helps pull the fish away from whatever structure they were stitting in, so they don't get wrapped back up in the log/weeds/dock....

But, you can only pick just one combo!!!! and BTW, Chef-Boyardee rocks!...

I agree with the above, a medium spinning rod and reel.. you can us this for pretty much anything, small and large lures, windy days, casting, trolling...... If you're buying just one, you can't go wrong with the ugly stick combo spooled with 8 or 10 lb. I think it''s about 60 to 70$

Ya, I've fished from a canoe lots too, just be a little more carefull. and some canoes are definately more stable that others.. mine is super old, but it sits nice and deep in the water.. you get used to it after a few times too..

Does anyone know if people still fish at the nuke plant in Pickering (just east of T.O) ? Fish right where the warm water comes out of the plant. I went there about 15 yrs ago.. don't remember if I caught anything..but I think apparently it was a good spot. I think I saw a fishing show once...
