A Pike finally got me

After years of fishing, last thursday was the first time I was bitten by a pike, by a small one too. I was fishing for SM with tubes and got a pike well this little guy sucked down the tube jig, while I was trying to get to the jig with pliers it flaped a bit and one of its teeth got my thumb. no biggie I guess I got careless over the years cause usually the lure treble hooks are on the outside of the mouth. If it was a bigger pike I would of just cut the line.

Haha...a war wound, nice...you should see my right hand...took my ring finger right off. Biggest fish I`ve ever seen, Tangledline can vouch! lol!

My worst one was from not from a bite but a Walleye cheek bone... ouchy mama.

I know this local fishermen that caught a small pike a center island last year, was dehooking and was talking to his fishing buddy at the sametime, when the fish all of a sudden decided it was time to start thrashing after giving little to no fight in the water... he ended up having half a treble embedded into the mid-section of his index finger within a second or two of looking away, went quickly to the hospital, got it taken out. It goes to show, you have to be just as careful with the small ones lol.
