Nice trip!! Those caves are pretty cool. I went last year, I was a bit surprised that they were so open with no signs or warnings. There were some pretty big holes you could fall in.
I got a few saturday, nothing great. Biggest one was about 3 pounds but most were pretty small. Got a lot of perch and sunfish trolling on sunday, along with one decent size walleye.
Mine's still pretty messy but I started to label all the spots in my tackle box. Helps to keep lures organized by depth. I need to get some small boxes for some of the smaller stuff.
I like the single blades better than the duals. Like uglyfish said I don't think the colour matters much. But all mine are bright colours, like yellow or bright green. I've had pretty good luck with them but mainly use Jitterbugs for topwater.
I pretty much just fish for bass. Topwater is the way to go for me. This year I'm gonna focus on catching some walleye and maybe go for some crappie too.
I googled ontario fishing forums and what a surpise!! A site called ontariofishingforums.com. Pretty simple really. I like fishing and was looking for a site where I could maybe pick up some tips and maybe share a few of my own(when I get some).
I was at BPS a few weeks ago and was there for about 1.5hrs. I didn't even realize how long I was in there for untill I got back in the truck and looked at the time. :P The worst part is, the longer I'm in there the more I spend. :D
It can get a little busy there. I never fish there but have driven by many times. I would try going to the north end of the island past the casino. I can't be sure but I think there may be some access to the water up there. I haven't been up there in a few years. I might be worth the drive.
