Lifetime Warranties - How are they sustainable?

Also we have to take into account the percentage of rods sold that come back for warranty. I bet it's less than 10% due to the rod either not breaking or people simply not sending the rod in for warranty due to ignorance or laziness. Also the addition of a lifetime warranty is a huge selling...

Ur best bet right now is pike (getting shallow), crappie, perch, and Lake O Browns

    Shimano Bait Runner

Agreed, 4000 is to big for what you want it for. The stradic is a bit of a better reel(bit better drag, bit smoother) but nothing that's super noticeable. The symetre was redesigned 2 years ago and now comes w/ x ship (a higher end gear system that is alot more durable). Both reels are awesome

    Shimano Bait Runner

Hey Tony I was the guy in the shop that helped you today. Ur better off getting a 2500 or 3000 size stradic like you said. Even the cheaper symetre is a great reel

Is this a decent combo for pike

It's definently a decent combo for beginners. It seems to have the right characteristics to make it a decent all around rod

    Brook Trout Barrie Region

Brook trout are loads of fun. I love the settings you usually find them in. Usually its in a untouched thick pine forest; one of my favourite types of fishing. But yes good spots are hard to find, especially here in Southern Ontario. I'm sure there are a number of areas in the Barrie region...

    simcoe ice

Hmm the forecast isnt looking the best. All temperatures below freezing but no major deepfreezes; a couple nights below -10 and that's it. The rest is minus 3 and minus 4 lows.
