Went out to the West Trib for some Sucker action.
Hit about a dozen.

Orange works well

nice, I am heading out in the morning for a couple hours before work, hoping for bows but suckers will do, just want to catch something and a sucker is better then a skunk

saw a dozen or so swim past me totally ignoring my bait.

wasnt interested in them wanted trout. next time ill say hi blair. but you move around too much to fast.
im just getting use to my new ankle :)

only 12? I'm going to be fishing further up on friday, I'll post if I catch anything

Nope. If only I had my waders I could've had access to a decent looking spot. Otherwise it was a waste of time that I could have spent at old mill

Blair, what would that big, orange, egg(ball) be?. If you find out what it is called, let us know please, thanks.

is just me or was it a zoo today at the river blair?

couldnt believe it. either alot of people are skipping work or out of work or seasonal BUT darn it was more busy than the fall salmon run.

Ah roe eh, i thought you were using cigarette butts as bait..

1st sucker pic, what is that ? a Du Maurier ?

cool, maybe i should take my nephews for some fishing fun.
where would be safe shore line for little kids.?

I'm not sure exactly what its called.
The "russian float drift guys" use it.

Basically, its like a large artificial egg.
Florecent orange in colour.

Could it be one of those garlic marshmallows? I use those for salmon in fall. They float. And they're fluorescent, orange and bad smelling :)

LOL

There were (2) "Russian/Ukrainian"? guys who nailed about 30 of em.
I was using roe ... (still imagining trout)

They used Big orange egg (ball) on their drift setup.
Almost every other cast they had one.

I had my Medium set up.
Gonna bring the Ultra lite (4lb) and some of these "Orange things" ... next time.

Lots of fun!

Right now the SUCKERS RULE... so might as well join em.
The trout would be all over a nice wiggly dew worm .. and so would the suckers.. I dont see many talking about using a simple worm for trout .. why is that?
