Wondering if anyone knows of any 15-18' rods that aren't more than a couple hundred bucks?

I'd like to get something with a little more length than my 13 footer for those wide open rivers but theres no way I can dish out 800 for a g loomis.. maybe if I win the lottery but until then I'd like to see if theres something more in my price range or if I'm stuck with my 13 (which I got for $80 new). Been looking at the local shops and online and haven't found any as of yet

Thanks

yes! thank you, now just have to find somewhere that I can buy one

also found the okuma aventa has a 15'6 version

I appreciate the heads up but it looks like its only available in store. I think I've tracked them down to a decently local spot.... angling outfitters in woodstock. Probably will have to dish out a bit more than the gagnon price but I can live with it

Thanks!

Yeah...I don't think there's any other gagnon store other than Oshawa. i'm not sure about shipping costs either but so far a lot of rods on great deals right now.

I picked up a 17' streamside at outfitters in Woodstock last year. was about $200.... its a bitch in the wind tho.

lol...those are great in Saugeen though...

Yes they are. Gives a great reach advantage on the larger tribs.... If you are not catching fish, just hold er straight up in the wind. She will bend like nobody's business and make you feel like ur fighting that 20 lb chrome tank we are all there for. When you close ur eyes those wind gusts throw some mean headshakes lol

Natural Sports in Kitchener has a 3 pce Rapala 15' float rod on sale for $99.00. They ship
Do you have one? Looks like a decent rod, I'm just concerned about how whippy it is especially being 15 feet and buying online.

I have the rapala 15 footer works like a charm, use all the time in Niagara. I bought mine a few years back when they were expensive but I haven’t regretted it by any means. Works awesome.

I recommend any of the rapala r-type series rods. The r-type series center pin reel is also very nice. I have one of those on one of my rods and it’s never failed
