I have a friend from Peru so I let him read your post , he was amazed by the species of fish you caught in his country. Thanks for sharing.

We have only just scratched the surface. There are many more species to offer in the Amazon and tributaries. Then there's the Madre de Dios drainage which has a whole set of similar looking but separate species. There are still more fish in the Andean stream. The saltwater species are pretty interesting to but fishing in the August isn't the best for saltwater.

I love all the smaller species you've caught.

I'm curious how did you catch the stone cat, and northern hog sucker? Any tips? I would love to catch these species.
