5 New Raven Rods for Fall 2016

Hey guys,

Hope everyone had a great summer and is ready for Salmon Insanity.. lol. Wanted to let everyone know that for Fall 2016 Raven is launching the RPX in a 13' 2pc, and 15' 3 pc (varying SRP on rings, custom, blank, and size). They also furthered the IM6 line to include a 12'6 2 pc Salmon rod in 8-15lb (SRP 219.99 CAD). Furthermore they are launching a new Helix rod series, two rods, both in 9'6 2pc (SRP 129.99 CAD). One as their Steelhead spinning rod in 6-12lb and one as their Salmon spinning rod in 8-15lb. These plan to be available and shipping by mid to late August.

Exciting new products by Raven and I can't wait to get my hands on these and try them out. Once I do I will get a review up!

Interested in the 15' blank to build on and I'm sure it's a great stick but... still seems Raven is a bit high on their RPX blank prices.

*BTW not trying to knock Fishheads in any way. Just my opinion. However I may need to try one out shortly

Exactly. We don't set SRP, they do. I wanna get my hands on this 12'6 chinny stick and lay a beat down!! soon guys (for the pre-orders) 8)

More companies should be making pier fishing and jigging rod for salmon and trout. Most of those 9'6" rods out there are too wimpy for this sort of stuff. The ideal rod is a 9' with a lure rating up to 1oz. St. Croix has these rods.
