It was a cold and snowy weekend, but still managed some nice fish.
Here's a couple that stood out.
Everything that touched the water froze almost instantly. Float, shots, line, hook, etc.
Shoreline is beginning to ice up. I wouldn't be surprised if pools end up completely iced over by this coming weekend.
Time to put the float rod and pin away.... and begin playing with the ice gear!

Gorgeous rainbow and brown!

I just checked the forecast, and it looks like this weekend may be your last chance to get out while the temps hit over zero degrees -- +2 degrees high for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It looks like everyone had a really good fall season this year!

serious? My float gear only goes away for the summer. from now till iceout is BADASS for steel. I would say january- febuary is the best for size.
Handsdown, the biggest and most steel can be had in the coldest months... if you can manage to find a spot to fish and a day no colder then -6 then your golden.

What ice fishing plans do you have for this season?

Sweet Fish Man
