April 25th
6:00am-10:00am
Cloudy with slight breeze
Temp: 12 Degrees

My friends and I went to Adeline Park to try out our luck for crappies on April 25th.Arrived at 6:00 O'clock and to my amazement there was only one guy there fishing. The whole day was basically cloudy and once a while the sun would break through the clouds. Temperature was around 12 Degrees with slight cross breeze blowing to the north. Around 6:10 i finally got hit, and was ecstatic that I was able to catch my first crappie ever, Now I can say i caught crappie before. I was able to pull in about 2-3 fish a spot, then i would move and pull in another 2-3 each area. By the end of the day i was able to haul in 11 crappies, and my friend was able to catch 1, Also his first time for crappie.
Equipment: Ultra Light Rod 6lb line and using 1/16 oz jig with 2" Neon green tube on a slip float.

great job!
did you have them for dinner? d=

and it sounds like they were following you haha, 2-3 at a time!

great job bahk7, and congratulations on your first crappie!

what was the average size you would say?

reason being is that i'm surprised that the area is still producing what to me looks like decent sized crappie. By now, I would've figured that the bigger fish have moved off and only the smaller ones remaining.
Probably the reason why only one guy was there. When it's on, you'll have trouble finding parking.
