I'm 17 and just moved to Whitby I love fishing but cant seem to find any good ponds with bass pike ect. and I was hoping that some of you on here could help me out. I'm not looking for your best kept secret spots just places that aren't over fished and have good fish to catch any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Just have to start fishing any that are around your area. Buy one of the small fish finders off of ebay and check a few of them out. A few evenings during the week and you'll know exactly where to go.

don't know about ponds but try whitby harbour, lynde shores, rotary park or frenchman's bay. Pike and bass are close right now. panfish, perch would be ok to fish. so are rainbows.

I will defiantly look at trying some of those area's when pike and bass open up thanks for the suggestions Dilligaf

There isn't any ponds in the area. Gotta go north to Lake Scugog. Only places other than that are the bay's and marshes down by Lake Ontario. DILLIGAF listed the spots above.

there are actually quite a few, not sure if any hold fish at all, but lynde shores is a great place, just walk the raptor trail, it follows the water almost down to the lake with lots of shore access. used to go there quite a bit for panfish, bluegill, perch, small catfish, small rockbass. thats when i was new to durham and before i knew it connected to the lake lol

That's what I said. There's no small lakes or ponds but down by Lake Ontario there are spots. Lynde Shores is a conservation marsh area that has some fish. Frenchmans bay has some good spots and McLaughlin bay behind GM has big carp, crappie and pike.
