Anyone fish in the vaughan area?

PS take some cookies from the Buffet & take them to the beach and crumble them one at a time and watch the fish come to you.

Take 6 feet of 2 pound line and a size 24 hook, tie the hook to the line and stick some bread to the hook drop the hook into the water, then crumble the cookies. Make sure this is legal first though.

It was difficult to manage a drift because of the thick over grown shoreline.

I really have no clue what the hell im doing lol. I tried to target pools behind faster moving water. My thought process being that as they work their way upstream they will take breaks at these deeper pools before running upstream through the turbid water.

It was like I couldnt get the reach to keep my strike indicator in the faster moving water, Id cast my drift upstream and try mending but my fly would go into the faster moving water and my strike indicator would remain on the slower moving stretch.

Are you using a dry fly? Your method should put ya on something!

Im using a nymph subsurface presentation. I'll just keep to it I guess haha..

If I can sneak out for an hour tomorrow I may go back and try something different. I didnt bring my waders today but I may tomorrow to give me more room to cast.

You are presenting your fly right but there has to be a fish there to take it or one that wants to eat it you can try an egg pattern or San jaun worm I try to change my fly every 15 or so minuties

Thats why they call it fishing I guess. Knowing if the fish are there is half the battle lol. Spending time to fish a pool thats fishless lol

it only takes 15 min with worm under float to see if there is any fish in the pond.
