Do you use any type of flipping jigs? football jigs?

If so what brand do you like and how much are you paying for them now?

What colours and size?

The world ends tonight, no one will be around when bass season opens.........lol. not even the bass. It's all going to hell........hell I tell you. Repent sinner. ;)

i slaughter all my summer species on the same presentation. Its amazing once you find what is the Fillet Mignon of the underwater world ;)

Have you heard word from Australia or Japan yet? They have not called since the sun rose over the international date line. Just saying...

I use Strike King 'Rattling Pro Model' jigs:

I have one of each colour in the 3/8oz size. I also have a few go-to colours in 1/2 oz: watermelon, green pumpkin, black/brown/amber, black/blue, texas-craw. $2.99/each at BPS.

Do you find a big difference between the 3/8 and 1/2 ounce? I still haven't really found if I have more success with one than the other yet.... Watermelon is one of my favourites though!

So many to choose from; each for it's own application. 1/8 to 1/4 swimming jig for swimming it back, 3/4 to 1 oz for heavy weeds. There are so many applications. You need to be more specific.

Ahhhh jigs. If only Dugger or GBD was here... :D

I like the All Terrain Tackle Grassmaster Jig in sunfish, AT Craw and Black/Blue. Here's the link: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/All_Terrain_Tackle_Grassmaster_Jig/descpage-ATTGJ.html

I use the 3/8 once size. I like a grass jig cause I don't get as many weeds stuck to the jig head and I can use it as a swimming jig too! I mean what's the big deal about the swimming jig? Honestly I think any jig can "swim". The action you are getting from a swimming jig is from the trailer so why can't a football jig with a trailer work for swimming? The jigs I think anyone ever needs to cover all situtations is a grass jig for swimming/grass, a football jig for rocks/swimming, a ball jig for grubs and minnows, a shakey head jig and a tube jig. I wonder if flick shake hooks count as jigs? Man once I write that out it seems like a lot!

Ohh the questions.

I've been looking on the tackle warehouse website for a while and have some stuff in my shopping cart for next years season of Bass! They have a pretty good selection of jigs in all sorts of colour. Plus it sure beats having to wait an hour before any one at BPS or Sail can help you. Man this winter seems soo long I need to feel the tug.

Alright so I rambled on.

Nice choices guys...

Last year I started making my own jigs as I was sick of not finding the colours I wanted in stock.

Making 3 molds now with many different skirts from 1/4 - 1 oz, sold a few jigs along the way to help pay for the costs of material and start up equipment... unfortunately I still have enough material to make more jigs than I can use in 2 lives haha
