This friday I was thinking about renting a tin boat and just doing some bass fishing on Scugog or something. Seems like its going to be a decent week of weather. If anyone has any plans or wants to fish and has any requests of where to fish just let me know.

I fish scugog twice not much luck found a spot with lots of perch & did eventually caught a 1lb bass right on the edge of the rice, if your interested heading up to rice lake i know we can rent a boat at sunset cove & I know a spot not to far from there where I had caught a 3lb small mouth right inside the rice i never got to fish it more longer or any other time because my friend kept trolling for walleye. Anyways let me know if your interested.

Rice Lake not far from sunset cove.

I've been to Scugog and I've been skunked many times. Girlfriends family has a trailer there and they have all of the catching luck.
Rice Lake however is great for Bass fishing, right by the Otanobee (spelling?) River especially.
If you're looking for Walleye try out in front of Suni-Vale Resort on the far east end of the lake by Alnwick. I've seen some real lunkers come out of there.

I've been out on rice now for the past 3 weeks for bass. I had some really good luck some days then some pretty bad luck others. I found up until yesterday that the right coloured senko will get you on fish more then any other lure. But yesterday my buddy out fished me using spinners.

Also if someone is looking to rent a boat I've been to a place called Whispering Pines (in Keene) you dont need a boaters licence to rent one, and for a 15.5hp motor tin boat for the day its $90 gas included.

I highly recommend Rice right now. still some nice large mouth roaming around and smallies are biting too. Never tried Scugog tho

I love how people ragged on members for posting pictures of awesome sized fish they kept but no one rags on this guy for keeping a bass that is clearly hardly a pound.

I didn't want to be the one to say it. Getting tired of pointing these things out lol. As for anyone mentioning rice lake. That is the lake I have fished all summer and I am just looking to toss my senko into some new waters for a change. I got plenty of fishing on rice still to come.

People have made a couple comments about my smallmouth, but like I said, I had my reasons

Did your friend catch any walleye?
What is the cost to rent a boat there?
sorry for the late reply but no we didnt catch any pickrel, out of the 6 trips i have been on there were only one occasion where we caught about 8 pickrel in a short span of time, pickrel reminds me of the king mackrel you catch them in moving water while they are traveling.
