I live pretty close to Ashbridge's Bay, and it would be great to head over there to get a quick fishing fix after work to hold me off until the weekends.

I've found a little bit of information on this board, but it is mostly older info, and there was some talk of the amount of fish in the area steadily decreasing.

Does anyone have any more up-to-date information, or tips on spots and/or lures which have been productive there?

i know they are in there. i was fishing for carp and i saw a nice brownie sitting in the shallow areas near the marina. but then again you got those rowers club screwing up your fishing.

fished the boardwalk of the outer marina on sept 20
saw many jumping fish....
salmon are jumping but are not biting...
there were some oldtimers that i know well fishing too.
the oldtimers said it had been frustrated fishing the bay as so many rowers and boats
were coming and going....
there were browns in the area too.
there are lots of bait fish around...two weeks ago the bay was full...the salmon and browns have ate everything in sight...the salmon are all males ...no one i have spoke to has caught a female.
the salmon i have seen caught at ashbridges in the last few years have been caught on....
j13 orange, rattle traps white or silver, williams 50 spoons red/silver, mepps#4 red/white, williams trophy#2 spoons, cleos glowing, roe
my best advice is timing....sundown, midnight until 4am....95% of all salmon i have seen caught are at night
last halloween i caught a brown at 4pm but it was overcast
if there is a wind from the east forget it...try another place.
do not allow flashlight light to shine out into the bay
goodluck

where is ashbridge do you guys fish I havent tried the area before, I live like 5 min from their is the salmon fishing their good?

Thanks for the tips.

I checked it out last night between 7 and 8:30. There were around 8 other guys there. No action, saw a few fish jumping. There was quite a strong south wind making some big waves, so everyone was confined to the bay by the outer marina.
